How to enable Swiipe Payments on Shopify

Before you can enable the payment methods on your Shopify webshop, you need to activate them in the Swiipe Portal. To access the Swiipe Portal, log in with your user at https://portal.swiipe.com/login. 

If you do not have a Swiipe user, you can sign up here.

Activate Swiipe Payments in the Swiipe portal

1. In the Swiipe portal, navigate to the Plugin page. 
2. In the top bar, select your Shopify webshop. 
   
   
3. Click "Activate" and follow the onboarding flow for your desired payment methods. 

Once the payment has been onboarded at Swiipe, you can enable it in your Shopify webshop (read further on how to do it). You will know it is set up when you see the status of “Onboarded” for your selected payment method on the Plugin page in the Swiipe portal. 

Enable Swiipe Payment methods on your Shopify webshop:

1. In the Swiipe portal, Plugins page, under the selected payment method, click the link to "Install on Shopify". 
   

   Alternatively, navigate to https://apps.shopify.com/swiipe-card-payments to install Card Payments, and to https://apps.shopify.com/swiipe-mobilepay to install MobilePay. 

2. In the selected app page on Shopify app store, click "Install". 
   
   
3. Log in to your Shopify store, if needed.
   
   
4. Approve the needed permissions for the app by clicking "Install". 
   
   
   
5. On the app page in Shopify, click "More actions", then click "Manage". A Swiipe app page will open.
   
   
   
6. In a separate tab, go back to the Swiipe portal, navigate to the API key page, and click "Copy" to copy an API key that gives access to Swiipe checkout functions. 
   
7. Back to the Swiipe app settings page, paste the API key and click "Save settings". 
   
   
   
8. In the same Swiipe app settings page, you can tick the checkboxes for all desired payment methods and click "Save settings" again. You will be redirected back to Shopify.
   Note that you will need to install a separate plugin per each payment method.
   
   
   
9. In the app page on Shopify, you can now click "Activate". 
   

Your selected Swiipe Payment methods should now be active on your webshop.
