How to connect Google Analytics to Swiipe

Connect your Google Analytics 4 to Swiipe and track important metrics, including webshop and checkout conversion, in one place on the Swiipe Dashboard.

Make sure to set up Google Analytics on your webshop before proceeding. Here is how to do it.

First, initiate the GA4 onboarding process via the Swiipe Portal.

1. Login to your Swiipe account: https://portal.swiipe.com/login
   
   
2. At the top right corner select your e-commerce account.
   
   
   
3. Go to the "Dashboard" page, find the "Conversion" tile, and click "Connect to GA4".
   
   
   
4. Select the webshop you want to connect to Google Analytics 4. Read and accept the terms and conditions, and click "Continue". 
   
   
   

Then, provide GA4 Property ID:

1. Open a new tab and log in to your Google Analytics 4 account: https://analytics.google.com/
   
   
2. Select the GA4 account for your webshop you wish to connect to Swiipe. 
   
   
   
3. In Google Analytics, navigate to the "Admin" page.
   
   
   
4. Under “Property settings” select “Property details”.
   
   
   
5. In the right top corner, find “Property ID” and copy it.
   
   
   
6. Go to the Swiipe onboarding page on the other tab (from step no. 4) and paste this Property ID in the onboarding form on the Swiipe Portal.
   
   
   
   

Then, provide webshop Stream ID from GA4:

1. Go back to Google Analytics 4. In the menu on the left, under Data collection and modification, click on “Data Stream”.
   
   
   
2. Select your webshop from the property list and click on it. 
   
   
   
3. Find and copy the Stream ID.
   
   
   
4. Paste this Stream ID into the onboarding form in the Swiipe Portal (from step no. 4).
   
   
   

Finally, create a user for Swiipe with Viewer rights in your GA:

1. Copy the email provided in the Swiipe onboarding form.
   
   
   
2. Go back to Google Analytics. In the menu on the left, under Property settings, click on “Property access management".
   
   
   
3. Click on the plus to add a new user.
   
   
4. Paste the email in, select user type "Viewer", and click "Add". 
   
   
   
5. Go back to the Swiipe onboarding form in the Swiipe Portal (from step no. 4) and submit the form.
    
6. That is it. Now wait up to 48 hours until the data from Google Analytics shows up on the Swiipe Dashboard.
