Once you have installed Swiipe Plugin, and activated Plus-sell on your webshop, it is time to ensure it works as expected.
Check your customer’s experience
Start by going through the experience your customers will have. To do this, place an order on your webshop and look at the Thank-you page - you should see some product recommendations displayed on it. Ensure to notice the following:
- The "Thank you for your order" note with the order ID should be at the top of the page.
- Right under that, there should be a modal with some product recommendations
- The button for "add to order" or "choose options" should be bright and visible, the same as your other main buttons on the website (e.g. "add to cart").
Now click around, check the recommended products, then add some to the cart and confirm the new order to ensure everything works.
Everything works as expected if:
- You see product recommendations on the Thank-you page, and can click on them to see more information.
- You can add products to the cart on the Thank-you page.
- You can confirm the new order and complete the payment for it.
- You are informed that new products were added to your order, and you can see more product recommendations on the Thank-you page.
- All the information shown and all the calculations are accurate.
Now check the backend/ admin panel of your webshop
Everything works as expected, if:
- The order created via Plus-sell contains the items from both the original order and the items you added via Plus-sell. All the c
- The original order has been canceled (so you don’t risk shipping it twice).
- Both orders contain order notes with more information.
If you added any customization (e.g. a different template, Plus-sell features, or custom product recommendations), you might also want to check that your changes are visible on the webshop. You can simply follow this guide again, after customizing the Plus-sell on your webshop.
